Robot Fashion Insurance & Garment Protection

Collisions, spills, mechanical wear, environmental exposure. Robot garments operate in demanding conditions. Our warranty, insurance, and replacement programs protect your investment and keep your fleet impeccably presented.

The Risk Landscape for Robot Fashion

Unlike clothing on a human body, garments on humanoid robots face a unique and often severe set of risks. Robots do not instinctively avoid obstacles, cannot feel when fabric catches on a surface, and may continue operating through conditions that a human would recognize as damaging to their clothing. Understanding these risks is the foundation of effective garment protection.

Mechanical Stress: Repetitive joint articulation at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees creates cumulative fabric fatigue. Servo motors and actuators generate localized heat and friction. Over thousands of operation cycles, even the most durable advanced materials experience degradation at these stress points.

Environmental Exposure: Robots deployed in hospitality, retail, and outdoor settings encounter food, beverages, cleaning chemicals, weather, UV radiation, and physical contact from the public. Each of these represents a distinct damage vector.

Operational Incidents: Falls, collisions with furniture or people, catching on doorframes, and unexpected contact with machinery. These acute events can cause immediate, visible damage requiring rapid response.

Hydraulic and Fluid Exposure: Some robot platforms use hydraulic systems that can leak. Hydraulic fluid, lubricants, and coolants can permanently stain or degrade certain textiles.

Standard Warranty Coverage

Every MaisonRoboto garment includes a 12-month standard warranty that covers defects originating from our atelier. This is not wear-and-tear coverage; it is a commitment to production quality.

What Is Covered: Seam separation under normal stress, premature fabric pilling or degradation beyond expected wear patterns, closure failure (magnetic, snap, or zipper mechanisms), color bleeding or fading under normal operating conditions, structural integrity failure of reinforced zones, and any defect in materials or workmanship.

What Is Not Covered: External damage from impacts, spills, or chemicals. Wear patterns consistent with expected garment lifespan at the stated deployment intensity. Alterations made by third parties. Damage from incorrect installation or removal. Failure to follow care and maintenance guidelines.

Warranty claims are processed through our client services team, with assessment typically completed within 48 hours of receiving the garment or clear photographic documentation.

Comprehensive Protection Plans

Beyond the standard warranty, MaisonRoboto offers tiered protection plans that cover the full spectrum of operational risks. These plans transform garment replacement from an unpredictable expense into a fixed, budgetable cost.

Essential Protection

Designed for low-traffic deployments where robots operate in controlled environments with minimal public contact. Covers manufacturing defects plus accidental damage from normal operations. Replacement garments delivered within 10 business days. Annual cost: approximately 15% of original garment value per year. Ideal for office environments and back-of-house roles.

Professional Protection

The most popular tier for client-facing robots in retail, hospitality, and event settings. Covers all Essential Plan items plus fluid damage, environmental exposure, and public interaction wear. Includes one preventive refresh per year and priority replacement within 5 business days. Annual cost: approximately 25% of original garment value per year.

Enterprise Protection

The premium tier for mission-critical deployments where presentation downtime is unacceptable. Covers all Professional Plan items plus 48-hour rapid replacement from pre-manufactured buffer inventory, unlimited claims, on-site assessment by a MaisonRoboto technician, and quarterly preventive inspections. Annual cost: approximately 40% of original garment value per year.

Fleet Insurance Programs

Organizations deploying five or more robots benefit from MaisonRoboto's Fleet Insurance Program, which provides portfolio-level coverage at preferential rates. Fleet coverage is structured to the reality that not every robot in a fleet will experience damage simultaneously, enabling risk pooling that reduces per-unit costs.

Fleet programs include a dedicated account manager who monitors garment condition across the deployment, proactive replacement recommendations based on wear tracking, consolidated annual reporting for budget planning, and integration with your organization's existing asset management systems.

For mixed-platform fleets covering Tesla Optimus, Figure 03, Unitree G1, and other platforms, a single fleet policy simplifies administration while ensuring platform-specific garment details are maintained.

Damage Assessment and Claims Process

When garment damage occurs, MaisonRoboto's assessment process determines the appropriate response, whether repair, partial replacement, or full replacement.

Documentation: Submit photographs of the damage along with a brief description of the incident. Our digital platform accepts submissions 24/7, and most initial assessments are returned within 24 hours.

Assessment: Our technical team evaluates the damage against the garment's construction specifications. We determine whether repair is viable and cost-effective, or whether replacement is the better path. For complex claims, we may request the garment be shipped to the atelier for in-person evaluation.

Resolution: Approved claims proceed immediately to production or buffer stock allocation. You receive tracking information and an estimated delivery date. For Enterprise clients, emergency deployments can be arranged with expedited courier service.

Prevention: The Best Insurance

While MaisonRoboto's protection programs cover the unexpected, preventive garment care extends lifespan and reduces claim frequency. We provide detailed care protocols specific to each garment and deployment context, and our Enterprise clients receive quarterly on-site inspections that catch early-stage wear before it becomes a claim.
